The AIMS Scholarship is unique to Arizona high schoolers who attend Arizona State University, Univeristy of Arizona or northern Arizona University. Homeschool students are currently included, and there is a small window this year to be eligible for a full tution waiver at the state schools.
One homeschool mom sent this query:
I would like to make sure I am understanding the AIMS scores and if my daughter, who is a homeschooled junior, might be able to receive scholarship money. The AZBOR application is so daunting . . .
Here is the most recent information on the AIMS test, as of February 16, 2011, as posted on the Arizona Department of Education website.
- Qualified students who graduate from high school in 2011 and 2012 will receive a full in-state university tuition scholarship valid beginning the first fall semester following graduation from an Arizona high school.
- Qualified students who graduate from high school in 2013 and beyone will receive a 25% in-state university tuition scholarship
