Borders Summer Reading Programs for Kids

How about a grand adventure this summer?

Read a book!

Bookstores and libraries have special reading programs with some nice prizes for students.  (Too bad they don’t do the same for adults!)

I just found these events at Borders:

Kids Summer 2009 reading challenge

Be the first to bring in a summer reading list from your child’s school by May 31, and win a free $5 gift card.

Kids’ Reading Challenge

here’s how it works:

  1. Kids 12 and under read any 8 books.
  2. List the books you’ve read on the Reading Challenge Worksheet. Have a parent/guardian sign the completed worksheet.
  3. Bring your completed worksheet to any Borders or Waldenbooks store between May 26 and August 31 to save 50% or more on selected items.

Super Saturday Smack Down–Trivia Game show

Saturday June 27, 2 PM
How well do you  know your favorite books?  Square off in a game show style trivia challenge about books and authors.

Find more details.

Please pass on to me other reading programs that you find, and I will post them.
