Now that school has been in session for awhile, you may be realizing that there are some wonderful books that you still need to round our your homeschool curriculum. If you are like many of us, you may have already spent more on books than you had planned, so what can you do?
One great option is to find the materials used. You could spend time on the Internet looking for the best deal. Of course, you will generally have to pay shipping, which puts that great bargain into a different category of not being so great.
Another way to go is to get them from a local used bookstore that specializes in homeschool materials, such as Covenant Home School Resource Center in Phoenix. The great thing about CHSRC is that they carry many different kinds of curriculum, usually with lots to choose from the major publishers such as A Beka, Apologia, Alpha Omega, Bob Jones, Saxon, and much more. You are encouraged to go in and preview and compare as many items as you would like so you are familiar with the content and the setup.
The next wonderful thing is that CHSRC is offering fabulous sales each month. The used items are already marked down substantially, and when you go on a sale day, you can literally save hundreds of dollars on a full year’s curriculum compared to the new price.
The October sale is next week so mark your calendar!
