Arizona Homeschool Scholarship Fund applications are ready

cap-gownIf you are a graduating homeschool senior in 2010 who has homeschooled in Arizona for at least three years of high school, you have an opportunity for an exclusive scholarship.

The Arizona Homeschool Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 by Arizona Families for Home Education for outstanding students attending college or university in the fall.

Since inception, AFHE has awarded over $50,000 to 39 applicants.  Funds awarded each year are based on part on the monies available and the qualifications of the applicants.  This year, an unspecified number of general scholarships are available and one Wilberforce Scholarship will be awarded.

For information and application, go to www.afhe.org/scholarships.htm.

You can help support the scholarship fund by shopping at Basha’s.
The Bashas’ Shop & Give program helps raise funds for the AHSF scholarship fund at absolutely no cost to you!   The program runs through April 30, 2010.
Here is how it works:
  1. Link your ‘Thank You’ card to the AHSF group ID Number at any checkout station in Basha’s Grocery store.  The group ID number is : 25119

Be sure that your Basha’s Thank You card is scanned every time you shop at Basha’s.
  2. Basha’s designates a portion of your purchases back to the scholarship fund at the end of the program.
Go to www.afhe.org/scholarships_bashas_fundraiser.html for more information about this great opportunity!
