Homeschooling parents:  You have worked hard this year to prepare lesson plans, instruct your children and nurture them along in numerous academic and enrichment pursuits.  Now, you may be wondering how to tell if you have made any progress, or what your students have actually learned.

A standardized test may be one tool that you can use to answer some of your questions.  Although it is not perfect, and for children who don’t test well, it may not be adequate, a test can give some basic information about the knowledge areas a child has mastered or ones in which he needs improvement.
