Homeschool 101 Events: Calendar of June and July enrichment opportunities

June and July Homeschool Events in Phoenix

Even though many homeschool activities wind down for the summer, there are still lots of events that can help you develop new skills and give fresh perspective on the homeschooling needs for the upcoming year.

June and July

  • Summer reading programs through libraries, bookstores and websites

Keep your students fresh in their academic skills by encouraging them to read (and get some really cool prizes!)  Parents can join in the fun by reading with and to your children.  Reading aloud as a family is one of the key factors in comprehension, vocabulary development and language skills.

June 14

  • Congressional District 3 Forum

All 10 of the Republicans running for John Shadegg’s Congressional seat will be speaking at this event.  This may be the only opportunity to hear them all at once.  With so many running, it is important to know what they all stand for.
