Homeschool 101 College Prep: The best one-stop shopping for scholarships, admissions info.

Homeschooling teens and parents!  Did you know that Phoenix has a unique place in which you can get individualized access to college planning information?

Burton Barr Library in central Phoenix is host to College Depot which has just completed its first year of operation.  During that time, it has served over 4000 individuals and has helped create over 850 educational plans.  The center has many resources for teens as well as adults who want to pursue higher education:

  • College Camps for 8th-12th grade students.  The camps are free and are designed to give each grade level the specific information that they need to prepare a plan.  Topics include:
    • How to pay for college
    • College life
    • Career exploration
    • Fun activities such as an online scavenger hunt for college information
    • Guest speakers
  • Workshops on a variety of topics.  Remaining sessions for the summer are:
