Homeschool 101 Technology: New smart phones can help you get the best buys on curriculum resources

Although this tidbit is too late for the Arizona homeschool convention, it can still be a great bit of information for future curriculum purchases.

The newest and greatest technology devices and all that they offer in terms of applications is not the strong suit of this examiner.  However, a very interesting feature has been presented that is worthy of note.

Yesterday, at a Transcript Preparation Workshop, an attendee was using her cell phone to take pictures of some of the resource books that were out on the table.  Her phone scanned the items and did an automatic Google search for them on the internet.  Within a few seconds, she could tell where the same items could be purchased and which site had the best prices.
