Homeschoolers are in the news quite frequently for winning contests such as Spelling Bees, debate competitions and robotics events. Do you ever wonder what these homeschooled students are doing once they graduate from high school? The Phoenix Homeschooling Examiner will be doing periodic interviews of homeschool grads to see the paths their lives have taken.
Julianne Forte was known to this Examiner through some classes she took at Covenant Home School Resource Center , and through her mother who has volunteered and worked at the homeschool resource center. She has a unique story of getting a scholarship originally for basketball at Yavapai Community College in Prescott, transferring two years later to Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, and getting a full-ride scholarship at the private school for music. She was gracious enough to grant an interview so other homeschool families can be encouraged. Her story will be told in three parts.
