Homeschoolers get bonus on high school transcripts with honor society membership

Eta Sigma Alpha is the only national honor society which is specifically for homeschoolers.

There is another honors organization which is open to all qualifying students–whether homeschooled or from public or private schools.  National Society for High School Scholars (NSHSS) was founded by Claes Nobel, of the Nobel Peace Prize family, with the stated mission to recognize academic excellence and to encourage members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world.

It is open to all high school sophomores,juniors and seniors who have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better. Students must be nominated by an educator or an educational organization after review of the student’s transcript.

NSHSS does not have local chapters, so there are no mandatory meeting requirements.  Their focus is to:
