Homeschool literary contest will create published authors and artists

Are your homeschooled students looking for a chance to have their artwork and stories published?  For the second year, Covenant Home School Resource Center, in conjuction with retired teacher, Mary Dehm, is sponsoring a literary contest which will result in a hard-copy publication that includes the works of the outstanding student applicants.  This is a great opportunity for budding writers and artists to put forth their best works and receive recognition for their efforts.

The Visions Literary Journal contest is open to all currently Arizona home-school students grades K-12.

  • Entries will be judged by a panel of teachers, authors, and students.
  • Each applicant will receive a Certificate of Participation.
  • Applicants, whose work is chosen will have the following benefits:
    • Their entries published in 2011 Visions Literary Journal.
    • They will receive a Certificate of Publication.
    • Published student authors will receive a copy of Visions 2011  and accolades in local home-school and public media.
  • A Publication Celebration will be held in honor of all applicants on Thursday, March 24th
from 7:00-8:00 pm  at Covenant Home School Resource Center,
    1117 E. Devonshire, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
