Homeschoolers can take advantage of free museums on Wednesday, May 18

Wednesday, May 8, 2011 is International Museum Day.  This means free admission to a number of Phoenix museums, and a great homeschool field trip before the final push to finish the courses for the year.

The international celebration has the 2011 theme, “Museum and memory” and is sponsored by the International Council of Museums.  The Museum Day has beencelebrated for over 30 years as a way to introduce the local communities around the world to the treasures that have been archived for them.  Over 30,000 historical and cultural groups plan to participate this year in more than 100 countries.
