In spite of school starting soon for many homeschool families, there is still time for some great family outings. The Arizona Diamondbacks host an annual Faith and Family NIght designed specifically for groups of family and friends and faith-based congregations. It is also a great opportunity for Phoenix area homeschool support groups.
StreetLight Phoenix, safehouse for girls recovered from child sex slavery, has partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Grand Canyon University for this year’s Faith and Family Night on August 26, 2011. The D-Backs will be playing the San Diego Padres, and a Toby Mac concert is included in the already discounted tickets. A portion of each ticket will be donated to StreetLight for the safehouse program. This could mean tens of thousands of dollars to provide services to girls who have been commercially raped and sexually exploited right in our backyard.
Anyone who is interested in the Diamondbacks (or Padres), Toby Mac and/or the fight against child sex trafficking is invited to participate in this event and partner in the work to eradicate child sex slavery. It is a great time to bring family, friends, and /or church groups to entertainment which also benefits StreetLight. Here is what you get at Diamondbacks Faith and Family Night:
