Phoenix homeschoolers have wide variety of support groups to meet social needs

Leaders in the homeschooling community highly recommend that homeschoolers find ways to connect with other like-minded families for a system of encouragement, new ideas, and friendships.  Homeschool support groups are designed to meet those needs, and the groups in the Phoenix area present a vast array of styles and purposes for the gatherings.

Each group has the freedom to choose the focus and activities, and each will have some unique features not found anywhere else.  Some of the key functions of homeschool support groups may be found singly or in various combinations for each organization.

  • Field trips
  • Park days
  • Co-op classes
  • Teen activities
  • Mom’s Night Out
  • Dad’s activities
  • Family outings or campouts
  • Drama, speech, music, dance activities
  • Sports or PE
  • Classes or workshops for parents on homeschool resources
