Eight year old is saving oceans by networking with corporations and celebrities

For the past two years, eight-year-old homeschooler Gavin Lewis from Phoenix has been working hard to raise awareness and money to help restore the oceans.  He has a home business selling refrigerator magnets with sea animals, and has donated over $6300 to Surfrider and Oceana for ocean rescue work.  He participates in beach clean-ups, has an informative website, and has been asked to be a spokesman for several environmental agencies, all while dealing with Type I diabetes.

What organizations are you involved with and give a little information about them.

About six months after I started Rescuing the Ocean I won theNick Jonas Simple Wins contest. It was for people with diabetes who are helping in their community. They liked the work I was doing to help the ocean, so I won the contest.
