Grammar Bowl: Online competition builds skills, offers college scholarships

Homeschool students who are 13-15 years old by September 1, 2011 are specifically included as contestants in the 2012 Arizona Grammar Bowl.  This gives a great chance for students to shine, since Language Arts is usually the subject of excelling for most homeschoolers.  A press release sent out on Wednesday from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix gives details for this unique contest.  Deadline to enter is January 7, 2012.

The official name is the EGUMPP (Electronic Grammar Usage Mechanics Proficiency Program) Grammar Bowl.  The first three of the four competition levels are done on the computer, with the championship portion being completed live and orally.
